  • LEGO® Retail Design Team Wants Adult Shopper Insights!

    Jordan P

The following we are hoping you will broadcast on your social channels and with your communities.

The LEGO® Retail Design team is very excited to hear from adults about their shopping experiences and expectations and how we can make the experience even better! Around the world there are different types of LEGO Stores (LBR and LCS) with the goal of providing an inspiring, interactive, creative and fun experience for kids and adults alike.

Whether you visit a LEGO Store every day or have never even seen one, it is important to know what adults expect and desire from a visit. Your feedback will be considered when designing the future LEGO Store experience.

Working with adult fans of LEGO, the LEGO Retail Design team has created a short survey and with the hope that you can take a few minutes to share your thoughts. Your insights will help to make visiting a LEGO Store a truly memorable event!

Just like a LEGO creation, each person offers a different and unique perspective so, the survey is open to anyone and everyone with the hope that thousands of adults from around the world share their ideas.

    SURVEY LINK: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/33JX7TD

The Survey is anonymous and available in both English and Simplified Chinese. Survey closes March 20, 2019.

The conversation does not have to end with the survey. We have opened a workgroup on the LAN where anyone can come and share additional insights and talk through some of the trends we are seeing in the survey. Is it too much to ask if they could all look like this ?

😋 All joking aside, we've sent out a post about the survey on Heartlake Times -- with graphics, of course ;-)

There are probably many articles I havent found yet but thank you Brickset, Brickfan and Friendsbricks for sharing the survey! I can see that there are additional insights shared directly on your platforms. If your platform is public please share a link so we can read the comments for additional suggestions that might not have made it in the survey :)

Just to share an update. We have now had 7500 people take part in this survey and just under 300 have joined the workgroup. With 3 weeks to go there is hope we will exceed 10,000 surveys. Thank you to all of the ambassadors who have shared this survey with their communities and thank you to everyone who has shared this on their social sites.

There are a few regions where we have limited responses, I know language can be a challenge, but there is still time for people to find this survey and share their voice.

    Again, Thank you!

Two weeks left to participate in the survey and to share additional thoughts in the workgroup. We are up to 7800 responses so far.

    What we currently need:

    • If you haven't shared the survey with your community or on your social page, please do. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/33JX7TD
    • We have seen in the survey that more in-store activities for adults would be appreciated. In the workgroup we are currently looking for examples of what types of activities you would like to see. Please come share your voice.

The survey is now CLOSED! We would like to thank the 8,116 AFOLs who shared their voice. Over the next few days/weeks we will be compiling the data and reading every single comment. Once complete, the findings will be reported to both LEGO Retail Design team and to those who have joined the workgroup.

The results of this survey will live on for years to come and we truly appreciate everyone that took the time to share this survey on their social feeds and with their LEGO communities.

    Thank you!

Hi, I am Wicki and working for the LEGO Group as a Retail Designer,

I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you for sharing your thoughts on shopping at LEGO stores from an adult perspective. We are deeply impressed by the amount of feedback we got and highly grateful for the time you spend on this survey. It is highly appreciated and as Jordan writes, the results of this survey will live on for years to come.

Some of the answers confirmed our beliefs and others surprised us and made us think differently, a perfect mix to work from – Thank You!

    All the best,
    Wicki Dam
