  1. Live from Kockice Convention

This weekend I visit the Kockice Convention in a small city near Croatias capital Zagreb. It is the first time that Ed Petrac and his team pull this international event off and it seems to be quite a success from the start with almost 80 participants from 13 different countries. So it is a weekend of fun and seeing old friends and making new together with a public exhibition of fantastic MOCs. I attach some pictures I took earlier today. The events website is http://convention.kockice.hr/. So I really hope that this event grows and will see many more AFOLs from all over the world in the years to come. Thanks so much to Ed, Marin and all other involved for making this great event happen! It is a true pleasure to join.

  3. SuperTrain 2018

    until
SUPERTRAIN 2018 is presented by the Calgary Model Railway Society (CMRS). CMRS has almost 400 members from Calgary and area who share an interest in the hobby of Model Railroading, and a desire to showcase the hobby to the public. Organized model railroading in Calgary goes back to 1934, when the first club, Calgary Model Trainmen, was started. CMT continues today, and over the years has spawned dozens of other groups and clubs. Throughout the years the various clubs held their own shows and exhibits. In 1994, several of these clubs decided to work together to put on a major Model Railroad Show for the public. By sharing the responsibilities and risks, a bigger and better show could be organized. The Calgary Model Railway Society evolved from the first show committee. SUPERTRAIN has become Canada's biggest and best annual train show. Over 100 exhibits, displays, and commercial vendors will be featured. As well, live clinics, demonstrations, and trains to ride on will offer something for everyone. The Calgary LEGO Train Club has been participating at this show for many years and has been recognized as a being one of the top displays each year... especially for our younger fans!
