  • Welcome our Friends From México!

    Kevin Hinkle

Hello and Good Afternoon everyone! When I joined the Community Engagement & Events (CEE) department in July 2011, I was given the responsibility for managing the relationship between the adult fan of LEGO (AFOL) community and the LEGO Brand for North America. North America, specifically referring to those within Canada and the United States of America. For anyone keeping score on our geography skills, North America also includes the country of México.

Until very recently we had little to no contact with any AFOLs from México- although I was adamant that they were out there! I've even had a number of conversations with my colleagues from our local marketing office in México City who have an interest in having a relationship with their local AFOL community. However, I am happy to report that this missing link has finally been discovered! It is with great excitement that I announce we have officially granted recognition to the first three LEGO User Groups (LUGs) from the country of México! Please join me in welcoming, LUG Estado de México, BrickMania México & México LUG to the LEGO Ambassador Network (LAN)! To our new Méxican LUG Ambassadors, please feel free to engage with your more than 250 fellow LUG Ambassadors as we work together to build an even stronger AFOL community across the globe. Happy Building!
