    Jan Beyer

It is with the deepest regrets that I need to share the sad news that Sven Erik Saksun passed away last Friday loosing his long fight against cancer.

Svend Erik has been a long term Ambassador, a very active and known member of the worldwide AFOL community, a great supporter for the LEGO Group and last but not least a dear friend.

His death is a tremendous loss and our thoughts are with his family in these hard times.

The funeral will be conducted this Friday - 14th of September 2018 - in Kundby Kirke (Kundby Church), Denmark at 11.00 am.

    Farewell my friend!

    So sad to hear this.

For me, Svend Erik was one of the most respected people in AFOL community. Skaerbaek Fan Weekend will never be the same without him.

    May he rest in peace.

I've known Svend Erik since my first LEGO World event in Copenhagen back in 2009. I will miss him and so will everyone else fortunate enough to have ever spend time with him and his lovely wife. I am saddened by this news and my deepest most heartfelt condolences to his wife and family who are now left with fond memories of an amazing man who always strove to share the passion.

Rest In Peace Svend Erik, it will not be the same without you.

    Ow, this is sad news.
    My condolences.

I only met him about 3 years ago, but it was immediately clear that he was strongly embedded in the Skaerbaek event and in the  AFOL community.

I met Svend Erik several times in Skærbæk and remember him well as a great personality. It was an honor and pleasure to have spent time with him talking about LEGO related stuff. Condolences to his family and nearest friends.

    May he rest in peace.

It is a tremendous loss for the community. Svend was such a nice and warm person. Yet I still remember he said to me "you will love this community" when I visited the Skaerbaek Fan Weekend for the 1st time.

    Rest In Peace, friend.

Svend Erik was a warm and great friend. His view on Life, his passion for the LEGO community, his love for his wife, children and grand children - all gone. I will never forget him.
    Rest in peace my Friend.

I´m also very sad to hear that Svend Erik lost the battle against the disease. I remember lost of fun times together with him and those sometimes surreal things that one could face when in the company of him! Like having him drive up to me in downtown Billund and be asked to help him unload the worlds largest LEGO stamp, a replica of the Danish Queen Margarete II. It was going to LEGO World 2011!

Thanks for all the joy you brought to all of us Svend Erik! Condolences to the family and friends .
