  • Online Christmas celebration in LEGO House

    Jan Beyer

Dear all, due to the still ongoing global pandemic we are not able to celebrate our traditional AFOL Christmas Party in LEGO House this year. As it is a tradition we don't want to let it go that easy so Astrid and I will do a little digital version on December 11 2020 incl. 2 games we found very cool prizes for.

So we hope to "see" you around.

LEGO House invites fans from all over the world to participate in an online Christmas celebration - an informal and fun 60 minutes experience on Friday 11 December.

Your hosts of the event are Astrid Mueller, Senior Project Manager in LEGO House and Jan Beyer, AFOL Community Integration Manager.

For the event LEGO House and the AFOL community department have developed two competitions – and the winners will be announced on the evening. It is of course possible to attend the event without attending the competitions.

To participate in the competitions you have to do the following:

    1. Build a Christmas model

Be creative and build a (Christmas) Holiday model on an 8x8 plate. You have to share one nice picture with us via email Jan@LEGO.com no later than 8 December, 2020 end of all time zones. Please include the name of your creation, your name and your country of origin in your email.

The model you submit needs to be designed and built by yourself and may only contain LEGO elements. You need to use a 8x8 plate as base. The LEGO House team will select the 3 winners.

    1. Describe a Christmas childhood memory

Share with us your best LEGO Christmas childhood memory – write up the story in English with min. 50 and max. 200 words and submit it via email to Jan@LEGO.com no later than 8 December, 2020 end of all time zones. Please include your name and your country of origin in your email.

The LEGO House team will select the 3 winners. Please be aware that if you will be picked as a winner your story will be read to all participants of the event.

Everybody is welcome to sign up for the event – and there are even grand prizes to win in the two competitions. But please note that you can only win a prize if you join the online event.

    Prizes include:
First prize: Three LEGO House Exclusive sets

      • 40501 The Wooden Duck (599 DKK)

The sign-up doesn't work - there is no ever visible in the LEGO House calendar at the bottom of the page, not that it's sold out or closed, just nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

@Jan Beyer, I was asked by our community to clarify what will the event include. Is it just announcing the winners of the contests? Or are there other activities happening as well?

You need to select the date in the Calendar (December 11), and then the event will show up with a button to book tickets. :)

It will be other things as well - not only announcing the winners.
