Wenham Museum LEGO Train Display

Each year in February, and sometimes additionally in the fall, NELUG puts on a LEGO train and town display for a weekend. The small museum, which features historic toys and trains, benefits from additional traffic brought by this show. A smaller event, it's a favorite among NELUGers, and is a great way for newer members to learn the ropes.

For NELUG's February 2024 Wenham show, we added something new to our typical train and town display. Using some lower tables and running tunnels under the main layout, a DUPLO train layout played peek-a-boo with our smaller visitors. Waiting for the train to re-appear was a big hit with the younger crowd. They also seemed to appreciate the lower table height, about 18". Our DUPLO told the story of kids going on a field trip—from their city to a large zoo.
